Swatchy Schemey
Overview
The assignment wanted us to take a photo that had three color swatches with tints that transitioned from darker to lighter. After doing that for the three colors, we were asked to make name templates with the same color sections.
Task #1: Photograph
Something needs to pop out while making my color swatches and I thought that the background to the computers in class had a range of colors to chose from. While the cold, light mountains are in the background, the foreground gets filled with the warm yellow and red of the autumn leaves. These colors I thought went good together to give a halloween vibe right around the time of year.
Task #2: Swatches
For the swatches, first I had to create 9 equal boxes for 3 on each color. The first color I started with was grey. For all of the colors I put in the swatches, the second one down the line always had a tint is 70% and the third one down the line always had a tint of 40%.
Task #3: Nameplates
While creating the nameplates for this part of the assignment, I began by using the rectangle tool to create three equal rectangles. I needed to add my own starches to the nameplate so there were only a few things to change from each one. I repeated that until all of the colors had been on every section.
Conclusion:
Overall, I enjoyed the process of making this blog post because most of the components were quick and easy to get done for me. The skills that I learned in this section will help me in future projects and also in my own professional life.
